Day 1 - Arrive in Athens, Sightseeing

Join your coach at 9.00 a.m. for a morning tour of this ancient city's treasures, including the Olympic site, Hadrian's Arch, Presidential Palace, the Acropolis, the Parthenon and Botanical Gardens. In the afternoon there is time for shopping or private sightseeing. D

Day 2 - Peloponnese, Mycenae

Depart Athens and cross the Corinth Canal linking the Aegean and Ionian seas. At Mycenae, walk through the famous Lion Gate and visit the Beehive Tomb. Continue through the Greek countryside, with stops to view wildflowers. B D

Day 3 - Olympia

After more stops for wildflower viewing, we arrive at Olympia, the site of the first Olympic Games in 776 BC. Visit the tranquil Sanctuary of Zeus - an original stadium which seats 30,000 people. B D

Day 4 - Olympia, Delphi

Travel via Patras and cross the Corinthian Bay. Stop to see wildflowers as we continue along the coastal road to Delphi. Visit the Sanctuary of Apollo ruins, said to be at the very centre of the ancient world. B D

Day 5 - Delphi, Athens

This morning enjoy the stunning views from Delphi before beginning our journey back to the ancient capital of Athens. Where possible stop to enjoy the wildflowers. B D

Day 6 - Island Cruising, Mykonos

Travel to the port of Piraeus to join our Greek Islands cruise (in a Superior Outside A Cabin). Cruise the beautiful waters of the Aegean Sea to the ‘blue and white' island of Mykonos. Enjoy time ashore to explore the island's winding alleys. B L D

Two Night Stay: Cruise Ship

Day 7 - Island Cruising, Rhodes

This morning awake to the beautiful island of Rhodes. Explore the magnificent old walled town built by the Knights of St John. Enjoy some free time to wander along the cobblestone streets or visit the Palace of the Grand Master. B L D

Day 8 - Island Cruising, Patmos, Turkey, Ephesus

Cruise to the island of Patmos, made famous by St John in his biblical writings. Join your coach in Kusadasi and explore Ephesus, one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the Mediterranean. Stroll the 2,000 year-old marble streets of Ephesus, once the trade centre of the ancient world and a centre of early Christianity. B L D

Day 9 - Sightseeing, Troy

Stop to view wildflowers enroute to Troy. See the full-sized replica of the famous wooden Trojan Horse. B D

Day 10 - Anzac Cove, Gallipoli

Cross the Dardanelles Strait by ferry to the Gallipoli Peninsula, a special chance for Australians and New Zealanders to pay their respects. Visit the museum, Anzac Cove, Lone Pine Cemetery and Ataturk's Monument. Then travel to Istanbul. B D

Two Night Stay: Istanbul, Marmara Pera Hotel or similar 

Day 11 - Istanbul

Full-day sightseeing in Istanbul. Visit the unique Blue Mosque, famous for its beautiful Iznik tiles. See Topkapi Palace, Sultanahmet Square and underground cisterns. Visit the Spice Market and Grand Bazaar. B D

Day 12 - Istanbul

Cruise the Bosphorus Strait. See marble palaces, ancient fortresses and wooden villas. Visit the Istanbul Gardens this afternoon before your tour concludes on arrival back at your hotel.
