DAY 1, Saturday
Shannon - Killarney. Morning arrival at Shannon Airport, having cleared Irish customs, optional transfer will be available for transfer to Killarney. Free time to rest and enjoy Killarney. Get aquainted Dinner and overnight in Killarney. Optional pub entertainment in Killarney tonight - BW International Hotel. D.
DAY 2, Sunday
Killarney - Dingle Peninsula. After breakfast meet your Tour Leader and leave to Enjoy the scenic beauty for which this region is renowned and made famous by such movies as "Ryan's Daughter" and "Far & Away." See the long, sandy stretches of Inch Strand and admire views across the bay to the Iveragh Peninsula. See beehive huts where early Christian monks lived and visit Gallarus Oratory, dating from the 8th century. Stop for some free time in Dingle and drive up the Conor Pass for panoramic views before returning to Killarney. Enjoy dinner at your hotel tonight. Overnight in Killarney. B & D
DAY 3, Monday
Killarney - Galway. Morning departure from Killarney. Travel via Tralee to Tarbert where will cross the Shannon River by ferry to County Clare. Continue north along the coastline via Liscannor, birthplace of John Holland, the inventor of the submarine. Continue onwards and view the majestic Cliffs of Moher, skirting through the Burren to Ardrahan. Here, you will enjoy afternoon tea/coffee and the best Irish farmhouse scones in Ireland. Enjoy a demo by Frances on her scones. Then visit with farmer Fintan, feed the baby sheep, watch as the dog brings in the sheep. Continue on into Galway City for dinner and overnight at the Pillo Hotel. B, D, & Tea
DAY 4, Tuesday
Galway. Morning sightseeing to the Gaelic speaking Connemara area. Return to Galway for a visit to the Galway Crystal Factory. This evening we drive approximately 45-minutes north to Cong, County Mayo and the stately Ashford Castle for an elegant dinner. Return to Galway and the Pillo hotel for overnight. B & D
DAY 5, Wednesday
Galway - Sligo - Donegal. Morning departure from Galway. Travel north via Sligo, birthplace of W.B. Yeats to County Donegal where you will cross over the border for a visit to the Belleek Pottery Factory. After a short stop, continue on through Donegal town to Glenveagh Castle and National Park. Watch out for the Golden Eagles who have returned here to nest. Then on to the Redcastle Hotel, overlooking Lough Foyle, for dinner and overnight. B & D
DAY 6, Thursday
Donegal - Buncrana - Inishowen Peninsula. Today have your cameras ready as we tour the historic and scenic Inishowen Peninsula. Travel via Buncrana, the principal town and resort of the peninsula to Dunree where you will visit the military fort with scenic views over Lough Swilly. The fort has an array of large guns and artifacts from the 20th century. The fort and lough below is of immense historic interest which dates back to the Norsemen, the Anglo Normans and the Flight of the Earls.
Continue on via Clonmany, Ballyliffin and Carndonagh where you will view the 7th century St. Patrick's Cross. Your tour continues to Malin Head, a spectacular headland on Ireland's most northerly point. Leaving Malin Head, you will travel via historical Culdaff and the fishing port of Greencastle to Moville where you will stop briefly to visit the Moville Pottery Factory. Return to the Redcastle Hotel for dinner and overnight. B & D
DAY 7, Friday
Donegal - Coleraine - Giants Causeway - Dublin. Morning departure from the hotel. Travel just a few miles to the ferry that will take you on the short cruise across Lough Foyle to Northern Ireland. Continue via Coleraine to Portrush on the Atlantic Ocean. Visit the Giants Causeway Museum before you are transferred by a small bus to the Causeway and its volcanic columns, which were formed over 60 million years ago. Your tour continues south via Newry and Drogheda to Dublin. Evening is free in Dublin to dine on your own. Overnight at our Dublin Hotel, the Maldron Cardiff Lane. B
DAY 8, Saturday
Dublin. Morning sightseeing in Dublin includes a visit to the historic Dublin Castle and Trinity College to vie the 8th century Book of Kells. Your afternoon is free to shop and independently explore. Tonight, enjoy your "Farewell Dinner" and Irish entertainment at the Irish House Party. Overnight at your Dublin hotel . B & D
DAY 9, Sunday
Tour ends with check-out from your Dublin hotel. Individual transfer to Dublin Airport can be pre-arranged or you may opt to arrange a taxi transfer on your own.
