The tour is designed for those who enjoy:
- Cycling traf!c free; 90% of the route is on the Rail Trail, the old superbly converted Beechworth to Bright railway line. The other 10% is on quiet country lanes
- Superb scenery of the Ovens and Buckland valleys
- Delights of gourmet food and local wineries

- The company of a small group of like-minded people (max 12)
- Freedom to go off and explore alone particularly for those who would like more kms under the wheels and time in the saddle.
- Fairly gentle cycling - no more than 40km in one day or between 2 and 4 hours in the saddle (or even less, as a back-up vehicle follows in case you get tired and need a rest) and also to transport luggage between night stops, and to meet you with drinks and refreshments en route.
Non-cycling friends are welcome to join the tour and can travel in the back-up vehicle meeting up with the cyclists for meals and accommodation.

Being a small group special interest tour, you will be with like minded active people. Regarding the single supplement - yes, you do have to pay it. Hotels charge for a single occupancy room and some of this has to be passed on to you. However, it is reasonable and below cost.

Day One: Melbourne - Wangaratta - Milawa
Day Two: Milawa - Beechworth - Everton - Milawa
Following breakfast, your driver will take you and your bikes to the historic town of Beechworth.Time to explore the town before the !rst 15 km of riding for the day - all downhill on the Rail Trail.Travel through beautiful bush to arrive at Everton Station for a rest and a drink. Continue along the Rail Trai, then set off down quiet country lanes towards Milawa, noted as a gourmet region. Stop for lunch at the Milawa Cheese factory and wood-!red bakery to sample some of the local treats and also be guided through a private cheese tasting. The rest of the afternoon is free to perhaps indulge in a Lindenwarrah massage, a swim in the pool, a visit by bike, foot or bus to some of Milawa's other local gourmet enterprises which include Brown Brothers wines, EV Olives,Milawa Mustards, mead and honey, nuts and berries.
Day Three: Milawa - Gapsted - Myrtleford
Day Four: Myrtleford - Bright - Villa Gusto, Buckland Valley
Leave Myrtleford for the ride of a lifetime through the beautiful Ovens Valley. The route is virtually "at and follows the "oor of the valley, with rolling hills on both sides. Pass through !elds of hops and vines, nut orchards and berry farms - all unforgettable scenery. Pause for a rest at Eurobin station (there is a berry farm nearby with delicious home-made berry ice cream!) Continue towards Bright,stopping for lunch under the trees and amongst the roses at Boynton's Vineyard. Then cycle on through Porepunkah and into Bright with time to explore this pretty little town. Your driver will then drive you to Villa Gusto, a luxurious retreat with a highly acclaimed Chef's Hat restaurant. Enjoy a degustation menu showcasing the fresh local produce. Accommodation tonight is at Villa Gusto.
Day Five: Villa Gusto - Myrtleford - Oxley - Melbourne
