Vesuvius for centuries. It is also the perfect point from which to venture to Capri, Ischia, Pompeii, Amalfi, Positano, Ravello and Paestum. DAY 3, Tuesday - Speedboat Excursions to Capri with Sightseeing

Enjoy a full day journey to the colorful Isle of Capri by speedboat. Visit lovely Anacapri and tour the 19th-century Villa San Michele, a well-preserved example of a quintessential Roman villa, built by the Swedish royal physician Axel Munthe. Explore the charming shops and chic boutiques as you stroll the island's narrow streets. Continue to see "La Piazzetta," the social heart of the island, on your way to the open-air Gardens of Augustus, from which you can appreciate breathtaking views of the famous Faraglioni rocks.
Overnight: Sorrento. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch.

DAY 4, Wednesday - Neapolitan Cooking Class

Today discover typical Neapolitan cooking at the Sorrento Cooking School. The afternoon is at leisure to explore Sorrento on your own. The must-see sites for any visitor include the Basilica of St. Antonino, the Cathedral, Sedile Dominova, Saint Francis Convent, Marina Grande, the Correale Museum, the museum-workshop of Wood Intarsia, the Sorrento Cape, and Marina Puolo. DAY 5, Thursday - Scenic Amalfi Coast Drive to Amalfi & Ravello

Spend a full day traveling along the scenic Amalfi Coast, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. Pass the distinctive white Moorish homes of Positano, admiring the stunning coastline edging the rugged mountains as you thread the high cliffs above the sea. See the dramatic contrasts of verdant vegetation and buildings nestled into the rocks, against the shimmering blues of the Mediterranean below. Continue to visit the beautiful town of Amalfi and its prized Cathedral, before continuing to the romantic gardens in Ravello. Tonight, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 6, Friday - Vannulo Country Estate Tour & Lunch

After breakfast, depart for the country estate of Barron Vannulo, one of the oldest traditional farms to incorporate modern technology in the production of the world's most famous "Mozzarella di Bufala Campania." By law, true mozzarella must be produced exclusively from whole buffalo milk, whereas other cheeses derived from cow's milk, such as Fiordilatte, are not true mozzarella. Interestingly, the breeding of milk buffaloes was introduced by the Greeks, and even today serves as the base of the region's economy. Visit the farm and its intriguing museum, followed by lunch featuring some of the farm's freshest products. Continue to the archaeological site of Paestum, a very important colony of "Magna Grecia," and delight in an exciting tour of some of the most intact and best preserved Greek temple ruins in Europe. Return to your hotel with the afternoon at leisure.
Overnight: Sorrento. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch.

DAY 7, Saturday - Naples City Tour, Farewell Dinner

After breakfast, journey to the city of Naples for a panoramic tour of one of Italy's liveliest cities. Forged by ancient civilizations, primarily the Greeks, one can easily see the various cultural influences in the modern city, through its monuments, language, and local lifestyle. Upon arrival, enjoy a relaxing drive along the fishermen's wharf of Santa Lucia, stopping in Mergellina to see the Castel dell'Ovo, Angiovino Castle, and Piazza Plebiscito with its Royal Palace, before a guided visit of the National Archaeological Museum. Founded in the 1750s by Charles III of Bourbon, the museum houses an impressive collection of Greek and Roman antiquities. Return to Sorrento and enjoy the remainder of the afternoon at leisure.
